!!!!SUNDAY HAUL!!!!!!!- must-haves of the season

                                                       







Hey girls..........This post is just a review of some of the stuff I splurged on today and I think they're season must haves coz' it's hot as hell here in Mangalore..........

For starters, it's time to scream "HOORAY!!!" coz' Bodyshop's here!!!!!!!!!!!!!.............yup, my absolute weakness!!!!!.......everything's available from make up to bathing products.......bliss for every girl who's been missing out on stuff from Bodyshop!......so, I'm just gonna briefly review on some of the stuff I bought today.......

BODYSHOP :
1.) A LOOFAH: coz' mine's gotten old and this one's just fluffier and denser than the annoying loofah's you get in any other outlet here in Mangalore.......mine's orange and it's called, "Refining Bath Lily".......sounds great doesn't it.........well, it is.......it promises you thick lather on the tag, and it sure does stick to the promise!........

2.)VITAMIN C ENERGISING FACE SPRITZ: This is great stuff for a hot and tiring day........it invigorates tired skin and is a perfect carry on.........I needed this coz' it gets really hot in clinics and class and you don't really get time to redo your make-up.......along with rejuvenating, toning and refreshing your skin, it gives you a dewy look when sprayed onto your make up......which is great.......and it smells like heaven!......the fragrance has a very CITRUS note to it.......makes you feel like an orange in other words.....LOL!......

3.)SHOWER GEL: Bodyshop offers a whole range of shower gels, body butters, moisturizing lotions and body polishes in a fragrance of your choice..........I chose "Pink Grapefruit", coz' I like tangy smells and this has a few notes of Passion fruit which I love and unfortuately, the Body shop here doesn't sell gels in Passion Fruit, but this is just as great...........it's a soap free gel which will definitely last a long time if you buy yourself the perfect loofah.......n' I think this is something every girl should invest on........a few other flavours that are available as well are- Strawberry, Wild Cherry, I Love etc., Japanese Cherry Blossom( which I intend to buy soon too), Vanilla, Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Citrus..........

4.)ALMOND OIL HAND RESCUE TREATMENT: and it says, "S.O.S moisture for overexposed hands".........the name and tag line says it all......this is for all girls who like maintaining their hands......it's a lil' bit like body butter but way thicker in consistency, however, it's not oily or greasy in any way and that's what I liked about this...........it's composed of sweet almond oil, soya oil, shea butter and beeswax(which probably gives it the consistency it has).......and it smells AMAZING!!!!!.........if your hands need pampering, this is what you should buy........a few other products in the range that I loved and will buy soon are the Almond Oil Cuticle Treatment and the hand lotion.........also available are amazing products to rejuvenate you feet.............

5.)BORN LIPPY- Passion Berry Lip Balm- this is like a spa treatment for your lips.......I've used this for a while now, n' absolutely love it.......sometimes I wear this in place of lip gloss coz the fragrance just lifts me up.......n I love anything to do with Passion Fruit........another must-have!!!

................this time I just invested on bathing products coz' I absolutely needed this stuff.......pretty soon I shall review on a few make up must haves from Body Shop as well...........their Kabuki Brush is amazing and I intend to buy one tomorrow...........

MAYBELLINE MAKE-UP HAUL:

....generally, I'm not much of a Maybelline person, I normally stick to Revlon, MAC, NARS, Sephora, Chambor and Urban Decay but some of the stuff I bought from Maybelline today weren't that bad and they were DEAD CHEAP..........

1.)EXPERT WEAR EYESHADOW: I wouldn't exactly term this expert wear, coz' no eyeshadow stays on the way it does with MAC or Urban Decay, but since these brands aren't available in Mangalore, this is a great option for girls who wanna get' their shadow on, the professional way.......and it's CHEAP!.......i think this one was Rs.225........they have only one colour palette here in Mangalore and it's called, "Emerald Isle"........it has different green paint pots on the palette and I tried it on.......it gives a good, green, night effect......plus, I didn't have these colours........these are also very sobre colours for those who don't like bright make up......I've put up a picture of the routine in which these shades could be applied.......they've named each paint pot according to where you should apply the colour.... a light dusky green is to be applied on the lids, an off-white colour with a green tinge is to be applied on the brow bone, an a dusky emerald green- to be applied on the crease and a military green- to be applied on the outer V or corner................this palette is a must have for beginners and I strongly recommend it coz' it goes with almost any Indian Skin Tone

                                                  

P.S.- I strongly recommend using a good eyeshadow base/ primer before you apply these shadows coz' they're powdery and shimmery, so they could tend to wear off.......if you do not have an eye shadow base, I shall put up a post on how to make yourself your very own primer potion to avoid creasing and wearing off......


2.) DREAM MOUSSE BRONZER:  to give a very bronzy tinge to the apples of your cheek, it also has a bit of shimmer to it, which is why I loved it instantly, mine's called "Glistening Sun".......so it kinda' makes you look like a disco ball....LOL!......so I recommend applying this in small quantities coz you don't wanna look like a disco ball.......this bronzer is not only great as a substitute for rouge but it's also perfect for contouring......it could either be applied to the apples of your cheeks, the deeper sides of your cheek(MAKE A FISH-FACE AND APPLY), the sides of your nose and your jaw-line.............blend, blend, blend, for the perfect look.........great stuff for parties!!!

3.)EXPERT WEAR BLUSH: I bought mine in Pinch o'pink, n I bought this one coz I ran out of my Sephora Blush........strictly to be applied to the apples of your cheek for a fresh, slightly flushed look.......I think it's a great summer colour and since it's not too powdery, this will not wear off after using the right primer........

4.)DEFINE-A-LASH MASCARA:........honestly, I don't know why I bought this.......the packing just looked really cute.....LOL!......it's a grass green metallic bottle.......but anyhow, I tried it on and it does magnify your eyelashes.....the brush used in this isn't like any other brush....it's kinda' flexible and so it doesn't clump your mascara when applied ( something I really need to worry about since I don't exactly have lashes that I'm proud of....LOL!)........so as the name says, it defines each lash at a time........good for girls who have puny lashes like I do.......hehehe

5.)NAIL LACQUER: I bought two, one in HOT PINK and the other in LARANGA CITRICO( orange)......these are colours most girls wouldn't even think of wearing coz' they're too LOUD......but they're both colours of the season and very summery.....you can have a look at the displayed picture........ these are just perfect for varnishing both your hand and toe nails, if you have a darker complexion and don't wanna look awkward, Maybelline offers colours in Blue, Green, Purple and Nude tones which you could definitely try.......

A few extras that I strongly recommend having are a good cleanser, a good make-up remover, anti-perspirant and cotton wads........coz' you don't wanna' leave your pores clogged after a rough, tiring day and you don't wanna smell bad all day long either.......and the weather definitely isn't helping..........

I also suggest investing in good flat wear slippers....... beautiful slippers are now available at Lifestyle here in Mangalore which is a good thing.....n I think they have like a sale going on.....so if you're in Mangalore you should rush to lifestyle!
